There are currently 28 banks and six leasing companies operating in Bosnia and Herzegovina. For the banking and leasing sector, 2007 was in general an excellent year and was characterised by the continued stabilisation and strengthening of the economy. The undiminished heavy demand for lease financing solutions was reflected in encouraging performances by the vehicle, equipment and real estate leasing segments. Real estate leasing and operating leasing are increasingly gaining in importance.
