Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR)

Introduction

Hypo Group Alpe Adria’s commitment to its role as responsible partner to business and society is also reflected in its CSR activities. The Group backs decentralised projects in the markets it serves in order to ensure that the differing needs of individual countries are respected. The Group supports numerous local and cross-border projects aimed at promoting social responsibility, art and culture, and the environment. The Group is also fully aware of its responsibility to its employees, and is committed to staff development.

Hypo Group Alpe Adria has been successfully engaged in the Alps to Adriatic region for many years. The region has regained a significant amount of ground in terms of both economics and politics in a very short space of time. In this context Hypo Group Alpe Adria is acutely aware of its particular responsibility to society as a whole and to the environment in these countries. Recognising and acting on this responsibility is a central element in the Group’s strategic alignment and its operating activities. It is reflected in the day-to-day work of all the Group’s employees and is enshrined in the management guidelines. Sustainability and social commitment are among the key factors in working with customers, business partners and shareholders. Hypo Group Alpe Adria uses them as a starting point in its numerous preventative health care and cultural projects and in its activities to protect the environment and preserve the ecosystem.

In line with its philosophy of working in partnership with business and society, while respecting the different requirements of the various regions in which it operates, the Group focuses on decentralised projects in its individual markets.
